BURNS CUSTOM HAT

PROPER HAT STORAGE
When you are not wearing your hat, store it upside down on its crown, or right side up on a proper hat stand. Avoice leaving your hat in any place apt to get hot.

KEEP IT CLEAN
Your hat should be brushed and cleaned on a regular basis. Burns recommends starting on the top of your brim and brushing counter clockwise. Brush the crown in the same direction. On the underside of the brim, brush clockwise.

DO NOT HANDLE YOUR HAT BY THE CREASE
When removing or replacing your hat, always handle it by the front and back of the brim just next to the crown. Do not pick up your hat by the crease because it will become misshapen.

BURNS BOOTS

LEATHER CONDITIONER
Burns recommends Bick 4 as a leather conditioner. This conditioner can be used on any leather (flat leather to exotic) and any color of leather with the exception of sued and shell cordovan. This leather conditioner will not change the color of your boots. It is a silicone base, not a oil base, keeping the integrity of the original color of the leather.

CONDITIONER APPLICATION
Squeeze conditioner (about a quarter size) onto your hand and rub all over each boot separately. You can never over apply the conditioner. Apply conditioner about once a month, or whenever you think your boots need extra conditioning.

SUEDE LEATHER BOOTS
A suede leather, (suede goat, calf, hippo, or elephant) SHOULD NOT be conditioned. To revive your boots, simply use a suede brush and go against the grain of the leather to raise the nap up.

SHELL CORDOVAN BOOTS
Only clean them with a damp soft cloth. When finished with the damp cloth, buff with a dry soft cloth. That is the only "conditioning" needed.

IMPORTANT NOTE
If you have any questions regarding your new boots, please feel free to call Burns Customer Service at 800-453-1281. Due to our special components and unique last, any work performed on your boots other than by Burns' authorized craftsmen will render the warranty null and void.

SILVER CARE

Silver is easy to care for. People often put their silver products in drawers wanting to protect it. However, the stagnant air in the drawer or case will oxidize the silver, turning it black.

The trick with silver is wearing it all of the time. Frequent use will keep it beautiful.

If you have silver that has oxidized, please contact your nearest Burns store.
